Ihre Aufgaben

  • Provide in-country leadership and operational management to address major barriers inhibiting adoption as it relates to: Health/medical policy / coverage development, reimbursement development and submissions, payer relations activities, health economics & outcomes research, go-to-market launch support, and HTA & evidence management
  • Operate and be a strong partner with the country GM, Commercial, MACA, GPA, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs and marketing leadership and teams, to identify barriers that are inhibiting adoption and partnering to develop solutions to eliminate them
  • Develop relationships with major healthcare systems professional societies, payers, HTAs, reimbursement committees and policymakers within the market/country
  • Educate and train the organization on requirements and key competencies needed to overcome barriers inhibiting adoption and utilization in Germany, Middle & Eastern Europe
  • Work extensively with the organization’s “Center of Expertise / Excellence” and Regional Director to address challenges from: payers, policymakers, HTA agencies, medical societies and major health systems
  • Open-up German, Middle & Eastern European markets to be “fully commercially accessible” by partnering with Commercial and Business Leadership

Ihr Profil

  • A master’s degree or doctorate in relevant field (i.e., health economics, health policy, public health, health or business administration, or other health discipline)
  • A profile of a practicing professional with excellent experience of increasing responsibilities in applied: market access, health economics, health policy/reimbursement development, payer relations, outcomes research and/or HTA management in Germany and Eastern European countries
  • Experience in health care medical device, technologies, hospital industry, and health care consulting is mandatory.
  • Subject matter expertise in: applied health economics, health care strategy, German payment systems reimbursement development, payer relations, medical policy development, HTA management, modeling and health outcomes research
  • Experience leading reimbursement strategies by working with agencies, (INEK, IQWiG-/G-BA) surgical/medical societies, policymakers and other stakeholders on reimbursement submissions by developing, adapting and executing strategies to obtain OPS codes, DRG’s, and other payment system models
  • Experience working with private payers and other stakeholders on medical coverage and policy development.
  • Perform continuous country/region evidence gap assessments to identify future clinical, economic and humanistic studies needed to overcome evidence challenges
  • Strong understanding of the payer environment in Germany and other larger Middle and Eastern Europe markets.
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, MACA, clinical and medical affairs teams
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with proven ability to collaborate and facilitate across multiple disciplines in a cross-functional matrix organization
  • Self-starter, capable of significant autonomy, can create structure within ambiguity
  • Results-oriented, self-confident and able to react quickly under pressure
  • Excellent presentation skills, in front of senior internal and external audiences
  • Excellent prioritization, project management and analytical skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in German and English, other European languages are a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis and key initiatives in a simple language
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40%
