93 percent of MedTech companies are SMEs

The medical technology industry in Germany is traditionally characterized by medium-sized companies. This is again shown by a publication of the Bundesverband Medizintechnologie e.V. (German Medical Technology Association), which we are pleased to reproduce in the following.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make up the majority of medical technology companies in Germany. 93 percent of them have fewer than 250 employees, according to Spectaris and the Federal Statistical Office.
