A long-established company from the Markgräflerland region with over 135 years of history was looking for an experienced leader to comprehensively manage its plant, production, and operations. The company is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of solid hygiene products and produces high-quality soap products for well-known brands, private labels, and industrial customers. The position was of central importance for the future development of the site and the technological advancement of production.

Challenges

This position was particularly demanding for several reasons:

  • The role involved strategic and operational responsibility. The company was looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of technology development, process optimization, and production control.
  • The person's area of responsibility covered all operational areas, including lean, logistics, and supply chain management, process engineering, production, engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance.
  • Production took place in a multi-shift operation with high demands on product quality, safety, and OEE metrics.
  • The company also needed someone who could confidently manage international customer contacts and provide technical support for contract manufacturing projects.
  • The job market for experienced managers in the field of process engineering, ideally in the food or cosmetics industry, is highly competitive. It is therefore important to identify suitable candidates in a targeted manner.

Result

Following a structured selection process, we were able to recruit a manager who combines technical excellence with extensive experience in managing large production areas. She combines analytical thinking, modern management methods, and a deep understanding of process engineering and production processes.

The transition was very successful. Today, the new manager is actively involved in the further development of the plant and production, overseeing modernization, strengthening the efficiency of the facilities, and contributing significantly to the future viability of this long-established company.
