An international company in the field of in vitro diagnostics was looking for a key person for its production site on Lake Constance: a dynamic manager with in-depth experience in molecular diagnostics production, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to develop processes and teams in a sustainable manner. The position was of central importance for the future direction of the production area and thus also for the success of the company.

Challenges

The vacancy was particularly challenging for several reasons:

  • We were looking for someone who could take responsibility for production, laboratory work, and logistics in a highly regulated environment while also leading a motivated team.
  • This role required a deep understanding of manufacturing processes in molecular diagnostics, including protein expression, protein purification, DNA polymerase activity testing, lyophilization, and quality analysis.
  • The position was highly complex due to stringent regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, GMP) and compliance regulations in an international environment.
  • In addition to technical expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, flexibility, and the ability to strategically develop the location were also required.

Following a structured selection process, the right candidate was found. This person combines in-depth experience in molecular diagnostics production and laboratory processes with strong leadership skills and strategic thinking.

The onboarding process was successful. The manager actively helped shape the further development of production processes, optimized supply chain processes, implemented key performance indicators to increase efficiency, and made a significant contribution to positioning the organization for dynamic growth.
