Seminar "Sales - How do I sell my business idea?"

Uni Freiburg Founder's College Seminar on the topic on 11 April 2013

For small and medium-sized companies, the establishment of a successful and sustainable sales force represents a major entrepreneurial challenge. Especially young companies often have ingenious ideas for products and services that require professional sales. Because that is what it takes to be successful in the market. A good idea is often not enough. There is nothing that does not want to be sold in any way, from the most innovative invention to an unrivalled range of products. Every one of us is a seller, whether consciously or unconsciously. The speaker will make it clear that the right attitude is important and that successful selling is not a matter of course, but needs to be well planned.

The speaker Christian Männlin has 30 years of industry and professional experience. The telecommunications electronics technician and graduate in business administration was an IT consultant, key account manager, sales and branch manager and board member in medium-sized and international IT, telecommunications and media companies. Since 2007 he has been working in personnel consulting and since 2010 as a partner and managing partner of BESTMINDS GmbH Executive Search in Freiburg. The company supports start-ups, SMEs and corporations in the recruitment of specialists and executives in the IT/media, medical technology and life science sectors.

The Founders' Office is a department of the Central Office for Technology Transfer (ZFT) of the University of Freiburg and also acts on behalf of the Founders' Association CTO, whose office it is. The founders' association originates from the state competition "Gründerverbunde auf dem Campus", which the founders' office successfully contested over 10 years ago.

The Founders' Office is responsible for all start-up-related questions and the cooperation between the University of Freiburg and the universities in the region participating in the network. It offers all prospective entrepreneurs qualified assistance in the start up of their own business, e.g. in the preparation of a business plan, access to federal and state funding or in the use of university resources (rooms, equipment, etc.), which are supported by the Founders' Office.

The team of the Founder's Office has many years of business and management experience and will advise you on all questions concerning self-employment and company formation.

More than 544 start-up projects have been supported and advised by the Gründerverbund CTO since 1998. Of 162 companies that were founded, 128 are still active on the market (79 %).
