Since October 2024, Simone Kiser has been a Senior Partner in the recruitment of doctors and the search for specialists and executives in medical technology and the pharma industry. Find out what experience and values she brings to her new role in the following interview.
With pleasure! I am 41 years young, was born in Herbolzheim and grew up in Ettenheim. In my free time, I spend a lot of time with my cuddly dog “Teddy”, a toy poodle, and enjoy being out in nature with him, whether it's going for a walk or cycling together. I also enjoy reading specialist books to keep myself up to date and educated. To work out, I regularly go to the gym - usually early in the morning at 6 a.m. so that I can start my working day straight away. That's why I can also be reached very early on the phone, as long as someone is available to talk to at these times.
After studying pharmacy, I first worked and lived in Stuttgart for seven years and then in Düsseldorf for seven years. During this time, I remained true to my core areas of expertise and was able to build up a broad network and expand my professional skills. During these 14 years, I have constantly furthered my education, also at my own expense. Personality development was particularly important to me in order to better understand and recognize what makes a person tick. After all, everyone is different and needs individual attention in order to develop their full potential.
I also held various positions in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industry, particularly in sales and the market launch of specialized products. My focus was on innovative solutions such as infection management, BMPs, biomaterials and pain therapy. In addition, I have placed doctors, senior physicians and chief physicians in interdisciplinary teams and was thus able to accompany many interesting projects in the healthcare industry.
One of the biggest challenges is certainly the healthcare reform. Many specialist departments are no longer allowed to perform certain operations, as these are now bundled in specialized centers. I see my role here as helping doctors to master the transition to such centers. This is a challenging task that requires a great deal of sensitivity.
In addition, companies in the industry are faced with the difficulty of finding or expanding market access for special procedures. An effective sales team with the right skills is crucial, but identifying these talents is often a challenge - this is where I can help companies.
After so many years in the industry, I simply wanted to try something new and looked around to see what the market had to offer. I didn't want to lose my main motivation: To help people with my commitment. When I came across BESTMINDS, I was immediately impressed. It clicked right from the first meeting. The open, friendly and honest manner won me over. I also like the way we work together: empathetic people work together as a team here, supporting and learning from each other.
My focus is on people. Empathy is a decisive factor - I want to bring candidates and companies together not only professionally, but also on a human level: It has to fit like a glove. I am very determined and well organized. I prepare myself thoroughly for every situation and love to recognize the “common thread” in every career in order to achieve long-term success. Knowing that my work has a positive impact on other people's lives makes me proud.
